Residence Villa Gioia is located in the historic center of Novazzano, a small town a few kilometers away from the main centers of Mendrisio, Chiasso, and Lugano, surrounded by greenery and tranquility.
This residential complex consists of three 4-storey buildings with a common garage, 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 room apartments, and attic attics with exposed beams.
For the first time, a light construction system has been put in place, with floors and walls in expanded polystyrene and galvanized steel, to be installed and cast on-site and whose use allows the construction of seismically resistant, low energy consumption, acoustically insulated buildings. and eco-friendly.

For the first time, a lightweight construction system was put in place, with floors consisting of a lightening in self-extinguishing expanded polystyrene having a density of 15 kg/mc shaped with a corrugated profile and having a lower plaster holder reinforcement and perimeter masonry made of expanded polyethylene sheets self-extinguishing shaped with Greek profile, external galvanized electro-welded meshes, and application of completion structural plaster. The internal dividing boards were also made with panels consisting of a self-extinguishing sintered expanded polystyrene sheet and two electro-welded meshes connected via through connectors completed on-site with the spray application of 2 cm of plaster per side with Q2 finish.
A construction system that guarantees faster installation than traditional systems thanks also to the lightness of the elements which considerably facilitates handling where the use of the crane is often not necessary, thus benefiting other site operations.
